Asters are so plentiful and so sturdy. Little blasts of color as the days start to change from summer to fall. The name Aster comes from the Ancient Greek word ἀστήρ (astér), meaning “star”, referring to the shape of the flower head. These wood asters are a gift from friends. We planted them along the side of the house last October and I feared they would not survive the winter but they have returned and are quite robust. We are barreling toward the autumnal equinox and change is already in the air. ❧
How I wish Fall weather was in the air. Today Justin (Jeff’s son) came and helped me clean out the garage. It was 93 in the shade with humidity to match. Realize it is still August but I am so tired of the heat. Had to come in and take a nap after he left. But, at least, for today the garage looks glorious. Ok, not as beautiful as your wood asters but there is room to park your Van and Mini and the floor is goose poop free 🙂 Mini is still at the shop. Am hoping she is finally repaired and back to normal by the middle of next week.
Met Life has told me they will try to collect damages from the owner of the property. I think it will be difficult to collect anything from an attorney but maybe I will get my deductible back and my rates won’t go up too much. I can hope.
